She's a tragedy! Oh God, I think I love her...

Rural America has been my consort this summer.  She is tough to take.  I don't mind putting up with her, but I can understand why most do not.  Although incredibly gorgeous she has a sadness about her that is depressing.  She doesn't communicate well, so it is difficult to keep up a conversation.  She sits quietly, waiting. Watching? What? I want to shake her and say "Snap Out Of It!"

If people partnered for life based on beauty alone, she would have been promised before being old enough to know what it meant.  She would have dozens of admirers waiting for the opportunity to court her.  "Hangers on",  mooning over her every breath. Polygamy would not only be legal, but necessary, to accommodate the multitude waiting to join her for eternity.

Alas, no.  There are few that can deal with her morose moods.  She can suck the life out of you with her insufferable sadness.  If she only dressed a little better, or at least pretended to know or care about what was happening in the world at large, she might get a steady something, at least.  Even if they only shack up, at least it would be something.

Nope, this incredibly beautiful creature, continues on, seemingly alone in the world. Producing a multitude of children through immaculate conception, and bringing them up to love/fear/praise Jesus, as if that is all that's required for their happiness. Otherwise, she neglects them entirely.  They grow up without a good education, money, or jobs to better themselves.  Saddled with poor self-esteem, and dependency issues, her offspring are doomed to continue the downward cycle, for generations...

But, my goodness, if she don't look good doin' it!
